Are you looking for night-time role? Would you like to make a real difference to the lives of people in Weymouth? Then Dimensions, a leading not-for-profit provider of support to adults with learning disabilities, are seeking Female Waking Support Workers to join the team.
Working primarily from one of two houses in Weymouth (your primary home will be discussed at interview, and you will always work at these two houses) Female Waking Night Support Workers will ensure the safety and comfort of the people we support by assisting with their night-time routines.
3 ladies, aged in their 30's and 40's live at the first home. They would like to meet Female Waking Night Support Workers who are happy to get involved in activities including:
- Watching TV, playing games and puzzles or just having a chat until bedtime
- Providing prompting support (this can be prompting them it's bedtime)
- Supporting them to use the bathroom and get into pyjamas
- Making regular checks on them throughout the night
- Undertaking domestic tasks that can't be done whilst the ladies are awake
At the second home, the lady, who is in her 30's will be asleep by the time Female Support Workers arrive. She would like support with
- Regular checks to ensure she is safe
- Assistance with personal care
- Repositioning throughout the night
- Undertaking domestic tasks that can't be done whilst she is awake
If you have not done this type of work before do not worry as Dimensions provide all Female Waking Night Support Workers with full training.
The ladies at both homes would be happy to meet part-time Female Waking Night Support Workers.
Shifts at both homes run from 21.30-08.00. Dimensions can offer a payrate of £11.50 per hour.
